These are not in the order from best to least,  but just 5 of my favorite books of all time. I really should make this the favorite 10, but  five will do for now.

1. Oh, The Places You'll Go - Dr. Seuss
2. Cause of Death - Patricia Cornwell
3. Actor - Parnell Hall
4. Fear Itself - Walter Mosley
5. The Mystery of the Blue Train (Hercule Poirot #6) - Agatha Christie

what excites you about a Review

I am excited about a review whether it is good or bad, well I should not use the words good or bad. Let me explain, to me there is no good or bad review because it is only a person's opinion and I like honest opinions. I like to know how it made the reader feel, did the reader believe the characters in the story, was the reader able to follow the dialogue and enjoy the plot, and finally did the reader enjoy the ending. These are the main things that matter to me, well of course grammar and misspelled word do make a book less enjoyable, but in all books are written to inform and to entertain, that;s how I feel - what about you?

It's Saturday, I am still at work (time 6:45pm EST) and did not get off until 11:30pm yesterday, and my day started at 7:30am.  Feels like I'm on a business trip because the kids are sleep when I get home and still sleep when I leave. How is your weekend going so far?

What’s the best vacation you ever had?

We had a few family vacations when I was a child, but one stands out more so than others. It was a simple vacation to Memphis, TN.  We went to see Graceland the home of Elvis Presley and we also cruised the great Mississippi River. As a bonus, we got to visit the Mud Island River Park and  the Brooks Museum of Art, which are great under-rated places to visit. This is a great inexpensive vacation for a family on a budget. But please try to go in the spring or late summer, because the temperatures are a scorcher. If you can visit the Memphis Zoo while you are there please do so, the kids will enjoy it and so will you.

This is my first blog and I am a bit nervous but here it goes. If you could choose to have dinner with two characters from any books you have read, who would you choose?

One of my choices would be Paris Minton of  Fear Itself by Walter Mosley. I think that he would bring a lot to the table in conversion. He would talk about his adventures with Fearless Jones and also the many books that he had in his bookstore. If you have not read this novel please do, I think you will enjoy it. If  you are not a avid reader and like audio books, Don Cheadle was the narrator and had me thinking I was walking the Los Angeles streets in 1950.

Now a good detective-mystery book helps the blood pressure go down after a day at work.  I really can not choose a particular book but dinner with Stanley Hastings would be most intriguing. Hopefully, he would get a page and ask me to tag along. If you are not familiar with Stanley Hasting check out the author Parnell Hall.
